Since 2020, the FlyBoard has sponsored awards to increase trainee participation and outreach in our community. This year, the funds will be used to support graduate student and postdoctoral fellow travel awards to attend the 68th Annual Drosophila Research Conference (February 17–21, 2027, Philadelphia, PA). Applicants are required to be GSA members. Priority will be given to trainees with financial need, and those at transition points in their careers.

Letters of recommendation deadline: October 29, 2026, 8:00 p.m., US Eastern Time
The application form includes submitting a request for one letter of recommendation. The reference will receive an email allowing them to log in and upload their letter. You will receive an email notification when your letter of recommendation has been submitted.
Important Note: Applicants may request up to $1000 but anything over $599 is taxable.
